Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that as we go about our celebrations and festivities that we don't forget about the true meaning of the season. Christmas here in the MTC is crazy. They have a bunch of devotionals and programs for us. As luck would have it, Christmas lands on my P-day which means we have to cram all of our normal P-day activites in a smaller amount of time. I apologize in advance for my brief update because of that. One quick note, for those of you that may be waiting to hear from me or wish to hear from me, I have virtually no addresses to send letters to. With the small amount of email time we get as missionaries, emailing back and forth is not the most effective option. I highly encourage EVERYONE to use dear elder or handwritten letters if they wish to communicate with me. That way I will actually be able to read your letters in their entirety instead of of trying to speed read them during my email time. :) Also, dearelders don't need to be extremely thorough or anything, so please send me addresses in dear elder. Even if that's all you write it will help me be able to send letters to all of you! :)
Now, as for this week. Life as a missionary, even in the MTC is very busy. We have been teaching and studying and eating, and that's basically the extent of it :) This past Sunday was really cool because 3 other Elders and I sang Silent Night A Capella during sacrament meeting. That was really fun :) Last night for Christmas Eve there was a nativity program put on for the missionaries. They read Luke 2 and acted it out with lots of musical numbers. Then right after we watched "A Christmas Carol". After sitting in those uncomfortable chairs for 3 or so hours, the missionaries were getting a bit restless. As soon as the program was over, everyone went outside and took pictures or made snowmen or sang Christmas carols. It's so great being here in the MTC on Christmas. Several of us Elders picked one present last night to open for Christmas eve which was fun :) I got a pen and pencil set (thanks mom and dad!). Even though I'm away from my own family, the missionaries are my family here. I love the relationships I'm building and the memories I'm making.
Okay, well I have to go already, but hopefully once the holidays are over and I have better learned to manage my time, I will be able to give more details. Also, I really have no idea what any of you want to hear about, so if you have any questions, please ask! I love you all and hope you are having a wonderful Christmas!
