Highs and Lows

Well, they say for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, right? I think we saw that this week. Last week, we had so much to do and things were going so great, but for whatever reason, this week took a downward turn. Our only progressing investigator's father suddenly passed away and he kind of disappeared off the face of the earth for a while. We still haven't been able to meet with him since. Also, my companion got really sick one night and stayed home with one of the other Elders in our house so that me and another Elder could still go out and cover our appointments. Finally, the bus system seemed to have a personal vendetta against us this week and we spent a LOT of time waiting at bus stops trying to get from one place to another. So this week was one where it seemed that "all the elements combined to hedge up the way". We kept a smile on throughout all the frustrations, but you still kind of feel icky after a week of what felt like not very productive missionary work.
On another note, I have come to the realization that I have been an awful record keeper lately. My posts are pretty bare and my journal is not as well detailed as it should be lately. I have been taking a lot of pictures though and will send them when time allows. I think I have just kind of hit a point where Korea is normal to me now. There is the logical part of my brain that keeps screaming and begging me to record it, but in all honesty, I forget most of the time what is new and/or interesting to report. I'm recommiting myself though to be better at logging my mission. Not only for my sake, but for anyone else who may be interested in the future. So, yeah. I guess that was yet another really long explanation for why my posts have been so boring lately/my whole mission. But, I did hear a really cool quote this week that I wanted to share with you. I heard it secondhand, so if it isn't exactly accurate, I apologize.
"Hell is the place where the person you are meets the person you could have become" -Brigham Young
I think that is really cool and a new concept to think about. Let's all work hard to reach our personal potential everyone! I love you all and hope, as always that you have a good week!
