Week 7!

So, I guess the pictures I tried to post last week  didn't work, I will try again today, but if they still don't show up, I will just have to send my memory card home or something. Sorry about the super short post last week. Hopefully I can make up for that today.
This whole last week, my companion has been sick. He is really stressed out and has just been sleeping all day. They thought he had Mono at first, but he had a test done and it came back negative. It was so weird though, when I was in the waiting room (we had to go off campus to the BYU Student Health Clinic) there was a TV on with a sign saying specifically "this TV is to remain on with the sound on at all times". I didn't know how to react at first, it was my first taste of the "real world" in over a month. It's so funny how my perspective on so many things are changing. Not to say that TV's are like evil or anything, I just thought it was interesting that I didn't know how to react to it at first.
Anyway, last week I mentioned that there were rumors we were going to have a special speaker talk to us. It was true! Elder Holland came and spoke to all the missionaries :D Oh man, he is AMAZING! He talked a lot about becoming fully converted as missionaries and how there is no excuse for an inactive RM. Also, at the end of his talk, he gave a dedicatory prayer to rededicate 3 remodeled buildings on the campus, one of which is my residence building! That may not seem that cool to all of you, but I assure you, it was awesome! :)
Tomorrow we get 41 new missionaries going to Korea. To put it into perspective, we only have 24 right now, so we are going to grow by nearly 300%. It's going to be so interesting seeing the new missionaries and remembering how it was to be at that point. It really doesn't feel like it's been 7 weeks already, and it REALLY doesn't feel like I am going to be in Korea within the next 5.
Things are going really great here. In case I haven't mentioned it yet, I have lost 10 pounds so far since I have been in the MTC. You heard me right, I LOST 10 pounds. Mwahahaha this food is no match for my stellar self control :)
That's about all I have to report on for this week, but before I leave, I just want all of you to know, that I received exactly 2 letters this entire week. I really believe we can do better. Let's set a measurable goal to have Elder Fund receive at least 1 letter each day for the next week. Can we all commit to that? I think so. I will check back again next Tuesday to see how we did. Until then, the Church is true!
