So.. I'm in Korea?! Ahh yeah buddayy!!

Okay, so I don't have much time to write because I have already spent
a lot of time on here responding to quick emails and such, and there
are people waiting in line behind us to use the computers, but I will
just give the really brief version of my week here in Korea. When I
first arrived at the airport, we immediately went and Jundo'd
("contacting" in English). It was really weird and not quite as
intimidating as you would think it would be. Maybe that was just
because I couldn't understand what anybody was saying back to me :)
Then we went back to the mission home where we trained for the next
day and a half. We did some more jundoing there before we finally met
our companions on Thursday and left to our areas. My first area is
called Nonsan. It's Koreas equivalent of the "country". Which
basically means it's a decent sized city by America's standards. The
best way I can think to describe it is if you took the entire city of
Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and suished it into about a 10 mile radius,
you'd have Nonsan. Obvsiouly you would have to have a lot more taller
buildings and stuff, but nothing here is more than 20 floors or so, so
it's not huge. My companion and I live about 30 minutes by foot away
from where all the people are though, so every day we walk down to the
sheenay, which is where all the people/our church are. So out of every
given day, I am using at the LEAST 1-2 hours of my time just walking
:) We have had some cool things happen though. We got a new
investigator since I have been here and a referral. Ps, if my stats
seem super lame, remember that this is Korea where most people HATE
missionaries (not just mormon missionaries, but missionaries in
general) because the Christian faith is SUPER corrupt here. Anyway, I
am apparently the first greenie in this area for the last 2 years, so
anytime something good happens, my companion calls it "greenie power".
Okay, well I am out of time, unfortunately, but I will try to write
more next time. It's so cool here and I love being a missionary!
With love,
Elder Fund
