So, it was Korean thanksgiving this week. Even if you didn't know it was a holiday, any person would have been able to recognize that SOMETHING was going on because the streets were barren. You walked outside and you could count on one hand the amount of people outside as opposed to the normal city feel. (I wasn't in Jecheon, I was in another city due to meetings). Anyway, it was crazy. I have come up with the theory that, if I ever film a horror movie, I am going to do it in Korea. Korea is beautiful and all, but there have been several moments here that I can't help but look over my shoulder because I feel like I am on the set of a zombie film.
Okay, I'm getting sidetracked fast. This week, basically we went to training after training, mingled in with some teaching practice. On one particular day, we had an activity where we shuffled up companionships and took turns teaching each other by ourselves for 30 minutes each. We did that for 4 hours. If you are wondering why we had so many meetings, our mission president decided that because this holiday is such a big deal in Korea, normal proselyting wouldn't be effective. So instead of having us wander the streets in vain, he opted to have us meet with the other missionaries in our zones so that we could edify ourselves and progress as missionaries. So, that being said, I know I have become the world's most boring writer lately, but unfortunately, yet again there is not much to report on. Except mosquito bites. As of this moment I can think of twelve that I have without looking, 7 of them being on my right arm alone. Ouch. Anyway, I need to go. But I hope y'all are enjoying the weather back there.
